Hello lovelies! I hope those of you who celebrated Thanksgiving had an amazing day filled with love, laughter, and delicious food. I certainly checked those three off of my list.
Before the big feast, I did some homework (it never ends!) and managed to squeeze in a 40-minute ride on the stationary bike downstairs. After getting dolled up, it was time to head over to my Auntie Shari’s house. She cooked an amazing spread and out-did herself for the second year in a row. I made Mama Pea’s stuffing (pictured all the way in the back in front of the wine – how convenient
) and a homemade sweet potato tzimmes (recipe to come!).

I filled my plate with stuffing, tzimmes, baked apples, and my aunt’s “To Die For” salad. That’s not actually the name of it but yesterday, I put my foot down and decided it should be. I live and breathe by this salad at every family get-together! It’s really simple – just cabbage and pine nuts coated with a dressing made from vegetable oil, soy sauce, and brown sugar – but sooo delicious. Of course my favorite part of a Thanksgiving meal is a salad.
Some things never change, people.

We chatted away about everything under the sun. I particularly enjoyed our lengthy conversation about Ryan Gosling. Sorry Matty, you’re still number one, I promise!
And no family celebration is complete without a photo shoot.

This is who we are in real life:
Matty joined us for dessert, which I had no room for. I did, however, have room for more stuffing. Strange how that worked out…
I feel so blessed to be able to have the life and family that I do. The day was beautiful…filled with love and good food. I’m not sure I could ask for more.

Thankful was over the top. Pardon the expression; but as good as Bubbie’s chicken soup. Translation:Remedy for whatever ails dad… Love ya all the time
Aww, Dad, I love ya. You’re a good egg.
