Hey lovelies! How are ya? Hope your Saturday is coming to a blissful end. I just got in from work and am typing this from casa de Matty.
Workout
This morning, I awoke with the intention of completing the Physique 57 DVD. After 20 minutes, I was feeling tight and sore, so I stopped the DVD to give my muscles a good stretch. My stomach was also growling at me, so I didn’t have my usual oomph to finish the workout.
The tummy won.
Breakfast
I opted for a bowl of Kashi Go Lean Cruch with almond milk, an orange, and strong black coffee in my beloved owl mug.
It felt good to listen to my body but I was a little bummed that I couldn’t squeeze in the full hour of exercise. After breakfast, I felt more energized and completed a round of Tone It Up’s Lean Arms Pyramid, which looks like this:

Burn was felt. Success! I then got to work on tweaking my resume, cover letter, and reference page for the big leap and then got ready to run a fun errand with Matty.
Whole Foods Mission
We’re making dinner for our friends tomorrow night (hint: it involves a certain sauce that makes you say, “Mmmm!”) and needed to go to a certain grocery store to pick up the goods.
That’s Matty successfully attempting to ruin the picture. I had to post it because it kind of looks like he’s holding the sign in his hands. Haha! Anyways, we shopped and lunched.
I filled my eco-friendly container with romaine, arugula, roasted tomatoes/summer squash/zucchini, beets, and falafel. Topped with vegan caesar (so good!), it was a salad of my dreams. Paired with two maple-cajun sweet potato wedges, it was the lunch of my dreams.
Matty hacked away at his meal before I could snap a decent picture. Yeah, he was on a roll today.
After pushing the grocery cart to its proper spot (my hero!), he opened the car door and sat down just in time for me to snap a picture.
This is the face he makes when I say his name. Hmm. I tried to mimic his face. How’d I do?
Yeah, not so much.
In the interest of time, we came home and prepped the sauce we’re using for tomorrow’s dinner. I’m working until 7:00 p.m. tomorrow so we figured it would be more time-efficient to make the sauce today in order to have dinner served at a semi-reasonable time. The sauce came out fabulous and we’re so excited to cook this dish for everyone!
Now, I’m typing while eating one of many Whole Foods goodies:
Life is good, people.
The Patriots vs. Broncos game is on and Matty and his parents are yelling at the TV. I’m going to go see what’s happening. Have a great night!
Stay lovely,
Heather
Question of the Day: What’s your favorite goodie you can only find at Whole Foods?
