It’s that time again!

Foodie Penpals has quickly become something I look forward to every month. It’s so great to be able to “meet” bloggers and readers from all over the country. You really do form special, little relationships through this project, and I’m so grateful to Lindsay for coming up with the ingenius idea. You rock, girlfriend!
This time around, I received a package from Theresa, author of Fueled by Wings. To my surprise (and utter excitement), she delivered a stellar package of Trader Joe’s goodies!
I swear Theresa read my mind because just about 80% of the goodies were those I’ve seen countless times while perusing the aisles of Trader Joe’s. They’re the kind of snacks I’ve seen and thought, “I totally want to try those sometime!”
First up? Spicy and tangy almonds!
These are so spicy! I was really taken aback at first but they quickly grew on me. I also learned that the combination of hot pepper and lemon, while surprisingly delicious, only allows me to consume a few almonds at a time. At least they’ll last me awhile!
I’ve seen TJ’s roasted seaweed snacks floating around the blog world for awhile and was excited to give them a whirl! To be honest, I wasn’t a fan. I just couldn’t get past the “sea-like” flavor – it reminded me of fish. They were also super thin and kind of melted in my mouth, which I wasn’t a fan of. I really wanted to like them!
Pineapple salsa? Enough said. This stuff is so yummy! I placed some on top of my Tone It Up black bean burgers and the sweetness from the pineapple really showed through. Deeelish!
Theresa, I want to kiss you for giving me this stuff. This eggplant garlic spread is UNREAL – like, insanely delicious. I went through it in three days because I started to revolve my meals around it. I found myself saying, “What can I eat for lunch that will force me to include the eggplant garlic spread?” Turns out the answer is anything.
Roasted coconut chips! I’d never seen these before Theresa so kindly gifted them to me. It was love at first bite. Remember when I used them in my morning bowl of protein oats? Yeah, that rocked. I’ve been brainstorming some recipe ideas that would call for the coconut chips but I’m coming up short. Suggestions are welcome!
Last but not least, we have dried bananas! My dad and I bonded over these and I can’t really say enough good things about them. There is no added sugar – just dried bananas is the ingredient – which I totally love. They are incredibly delicious too!
Alright, I’m out. An early bedtime is on the horizon!
Stay lovely,
Heather
Question of the Day: What is your favorite snack from above? Have you tried any of them?

The wasabi seaweed is so much better!! I can’t eat the regular ones anymore. Also, chili lime cashews but I will have to try those almonds.
Ooo chili lime cashews – that sounds amazing!
I got the roasted seaweed snack from Trader Joe’s too! I actually LOVED it, but I shared with a bunch of my coworkers, and most of them shared your opinion.
i’m so glad you liked (most) things in the package!!
that eggplant spread looked sooo yum
Thank you SO much for an amazing package, Theresa! I was blown away and totally loved it. You are a wonderful ladaaayyy!
Awesome box! I love pineapple salsa. That’d be amazing with black beans! The eggplant garlic spread is something I’ve never seen before however I want to go to TJ’s RIGHT NOW to get it. I’m obsessed with both eggplant and garlic so I know I’d love it.
I got banana chips in my box this month too! #twins
Despite seeing seaweed snacks all over the “blog world” as well, I don’t really want to try them because I think I’d feel the exact same way you did about them!
I love those pepper and lemon almonds! I just bought them a few weeks ago and have been adding them to salads and enjoying them as a snack (I also just found wasabi almonds from TJ’s and they are equally as delicious…. but definitely a little on the spicer side as well). I also am OBSESSED with that pineapple salsa! I swear it could taste delicious on anything. If you can’t tell I get a little excited about Trader Joe’s products haha….
Also, I was SO excited to see my comment on your post over the weekend… it definitely made my day
Have a great day Heather!
Awww, yay! I’m so glad you liked the post with your comment.
You’ve been reading since day one, how could I not?! xoxo
