Happy Friday, sunshines! Today has been pretty busy with school and assignments.
Did you know that my boyfriend can draw? Neither did I.
...and, apparently, neither did he until a couple of weeks ago. Check out the drawing Matty made of the two of us! I can't lie - I'm totally blown away. And proud. That's my man!
Workout
This morning, I took on another HIIT challenge from my Tone It Up trainers. Yesterday, K&K challenged us to complete this HIIT routine, so I obliged. I actually upped the ante a bit, opting for an 8 mph speed instead of the suggested 7 mph. It definitely got my heart pumping. Afterwards, I went through a random but effective total body routine, focusing on my chest and thighs. It consisted of chest presses, chest flyes, push-ups, squats with a leg abduction, walking lunges (OUCH!), and plie squat jumps. Woot!
Lunch
There were slim pickings for lunch today. White rice and soup were the only things at the vegan station. Womp womp. I made do and created a salad with some Italian style Tofurky slices as my protein source. Meh. I really dislike faux meat! It freaks me out - but a girl's gotta eat, right?
It satisfied my bod pod but not my taste buds. Oh well! Have you guys tried Tofurky before? I like that it's organic and non-GMO but the concept and taste don't really cut it for me.
Brianna Moon Meet-Up
Late afternoon, I met up with Brianna Moon, an incredibly talented Rhode Island-based fashion designer. I walked for Brianna in her very first runway show this past August, and I can tell you first-hand that her designs are insanely beautiful. The girl has serious skills. Brianna knows a woman's body so well, and her clothes speak to that, as they are so flattering in every sense of the word. Her designs are feminine and ethereal; they really speak to you and tell a story.

Brianna is amazing to work with - kind, sweet, genuine, and passionate. I can't say enough good things about her! She is making an outfit for me for the FITNESS Blogger Meet & Tweet event, so we were itching to meet up and talk all things fashion-related. I. Am. So. Excited. This girl is GOING places! We talked about my style and what she thought would be most appropriate for the event and are in the process of coming up with something amazing. I can't wait to show you all the final look!
Dinner
After meeting up with Brianna and chatting, I was quite giddy (fashion does that to a gal) and quite hungry! Matty accompanied me to meet up with Brianna, so the two of us decided to go out for dinner at Rasoi. Not a difficult decision.
We began our meals with pappadum, a traditional, crispy Indian flat bread made from lentil and chickpea flours. We each had a piece and topped them with dippers: sweet sauce and hot red peppers. Mmm mmm good!
Before we even looked at the menu, I knew exactly what I wanted: the grilled tofu salad with lime & cilantro vinaigrette. The way Rasoi chefs grill and season this tofu is seriously unbelievable!
Matty decided to go for his favorite: the chicken tikka masala with brown rice and lentils. He also ordered a side of unpictured naan.
We left with very happy bellies! Now, we're off to catch up on this week's episode of Biggest Loser. Have a beautiful night!
Stay lovely,
Heather

How awesome that pic is, he really is talented, I love pencil drawings like that, so artsy and so classic! Beautiful pic, how sweet!
Ok, you look way too fierce walking down that runway, how cool you did that last year, perhaps again this year?
Your friend is so pretty, love her hair! I can’t wait to see what she creates for you to wear, I am sure it will look fabulous!
Excited to meet you soon! <3
Isn’t the picture great?! I guess you really do learn something new about loved ones every day.
I would LOVE to walk for Brianna again. Maybe someday! Can’t wait to meet YOU babe.
That pappadum sounds right up my adventurtarian alley! You are getting a custom outfit made for Fitness?! OMG! How amazing! I’m in love with creative designers, can’t wait to see what she creates for you. You and Matty are so cute, makes me want to puke, but in a GOOD way (and don’t worry I won’t get any on the drawing, it’s beautiful btw)
