Zella Day of Movement!

Hey friends! Hope your Saturday is humming along smoothly. That thing called sun? Yeah, I’m not sure I remember what it is anymore, considering the last time I saw it was Monday. Oof. Despite the cloudiness, today has been filled with great things!

Zella Day of Movement

As I mentioned on Thursday, today was the Zella Day of Movement at Nordstrom stores across the country! I met up with Jessica, fellow FitFluential ambassador and author of 30 Something Mother Runner, and we had a great time workin’ up a sweat and checking out Zella’s amazing sports apparel.

Jessica and I were surprised to see that we would be taking a pilates class right outside of Nordstrom! Pretty cool, huh? There were roughly 20 people lined up with their mats and eager to break a sweat. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but the class turned out to be a really great workout! We were led by Jacqueline Ambrose, pilates instuctor at Performance Physical Therapy, and it was NO joke, my friends. I’ve taken pilates before and remember feeling really underwhelmed. Jackie had our cores firing the entire time and her positive energy was contagious!

After our sweat sesh, Jessica and I mosied into Nordstrom. We were excited to shop and try on the Zella apparel. Upon entering, we were met by three mannequins, rocking oufits that I immediately wanted to covet. How cute?!

The outfit on the far left was my personal favorite. I’m a sucker for anything pale blue, especially when it’s paired with white and grey. Such a serene color scheme!

Without hesitation, we had the kind sales associate set up our fitting rooms and, soon after, went to try on the clothes! I immediately fell in love with the Zella ‘Easy Breasy’ Hoodie. The fit was spot-on and the color had me smiling from ear to ear.

Told you I loved pale blue!  The ultra-long length was a huge plus for me. I have a pretty long torso and I often struggle with purchasing workout tops because of their length, so I definitely appreciated that feature.

The Zella ‘Seamless Z Gradient’ Tank was another home run. I loved the slimming “Z” design on the side. The length on this tank was also on the longer side. Win! After putting this tank on, I immediately felt more confident. It really hugs your body in all the right places. 

I ended up purchasing the ‘Easy Breezy’ hoodie, which came with two free gifts: a Zella ‘Z T 3′ tee and small baggie of beauty products. A satin bow was carefully tied around the t-shirt, which made me smile. I love when companies put some extra TLC into their packaging tactics.

Overall, the Zella Day of Movement event was wonderful! I mean, what could be better than working up a sweat and shopping with a fellow FitFluential ambassador? The answer, I tell you, is nothing. Thank you to Nordstrom for hosting this event, and thank you to FitFluential for spreading the word!

Lunch

Pilates and shopping certainly allowed me to work up an appetite. I knew exactly what I was craving for lunch: curried mock chicken salad! I couldn’t decide whether to wrap the goods in collards or cabbage (travesty, I know), so I just had both. Why not, right?

Mmmmm.

Everytime I make this, I’m amazed at how fast it takes to assemble everything. Fifteen minutes and you’ve got yourself a delicious, healthy, and satisfying meal!

I’m off to the library. Finals are looming!
