Quote Cop-Out

June 8, 2012 by Heather

Hi friends! Today I’m working both jobs and in the middle of a monster project for my summer course. That being said, a Pinterest quote cop-out and a short-and-sweet post is on tap. Womp womp, I know!

Despite my go-go-go day, I managed to squeeze in a 25-minute workout with ZWOW #19. I still can’t do pistol squats, so I subbed them for weighted jump lunges. I’ll get there – they’re on my Pinterest #FitnessBucket list. When I can’t complete a move, I don’t view myself as being weak. Instead, I put it on my to-do list and make it a challenge! We can’t waste precious time beating ourselves up for not being able to accomplish something. Use that “bummed-out feeling” as motivation to set your goals and keep reaching! (Cheese ball session ends now.)

I’ve been eating some yummies today, too! When I came home from the clinic, I whipped up a quick lunch of sauteed organic tofu with 1 Tbsp. Trader Joe’s Island Soyaki Sauce and a side of roasted Brussels sprouts.

NOM.

At the same time, in preparation for my evening shift at my retail job, I roasted some green beans alongside the above Brussels sprouts. I’ll be munching on those during my break for dinner! How do you like your roasted veggies? If I’m in a pinch, like today, I like to simply sprinkle Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb spice on top of roasted green beans. It gives them a really wonderful flavor. Organic ketchup for dipping is also a must!

Thoughts for the Day
