Skinny Love Cover

Don’t forget that you have until SUNDAY NIGHT to enter the barre giveaway! I love how some of you have already purchased some for yourself – you won’t be disappointed, I promise! :-)

Morning Workout

This week, I have been getting between 6 and 6.5 hours of sleep. Womp womp. I like to get between 7 and 8 hours each night, so I’m a tad groggier than usual by mid-afternoon. Thankfully, my workout mojo is still in full swing! This morning, I completed the latest ZWOW. Zuzana is right: this workout is EVIL. More than that, it’s just plain rude. I felt like a total bad ass when I was done, though.

After said workout of death, I got ready for my last official day of microbiology! YAY! I’m going to be honest with you: I have not  been doing well in this class and it has been a little discouraging. Oh well. On Monday, after our monster case study, this class will be over and I will have my diploma in no time!

Lunch

Listening to my teacher lecture about viruses was just so hard today. I just couldn’t do it. It was 87 degrees out, the sun was shining in the windows, and all I wanted to do was soak up the warm weather. Summer fever, my friends. A couple of hours into our lecture, I broke out my lunch.

In the container were a ton of mixed greens, two leftover Tone It Up black bean patties, avocado, and mango peach salsa. Excuse the presentation, as this was prepped last night at 9:30 p.m. after researching microbes and blood agar plates for three hours (don’t ask).

Skinny Love Cover

I’m a very emotional person (thanks, parents! ;-) ). This especially comes through in the songs I write and gravitate towards. I love listening to heartbreaking ballads that tug at your heart strings, pull out every emotion inside of you, and take you to the emotional space the artist was in while writing the song. Bon Iver does this to me every single time. I love to get lost in their world. The haunting music, twisted plot lines, and abstract melodies are just so incredible. I’ve been working on their mega indie hit “Skinny Love” for quite some time now and I’m so excited to finally share it with you all!

I hope you enjoy it. I’d love to read your thoughts as well as what you’d like to hear next! Perhaps another duet?

Stay lovely,
Heather
