THEY DID IT!
NOOCH Vegan Market reached their $10,000 goal and will soon be open for business in Denver, CO. I’m so elated to have been a small part of this project and can’t wait to see what amazing things NOOCH brings to the Denver community. Congratulations, Josh and Vanessa!
Wildflour Date
Yesterday morning, Cait and Jenny, my two sleepyhead friends, awoke two hours after myself. We couldn’t believe how late they slept, as we’re all a bunch of early birds. Alas, we gathered our essentials and headed to Wildflour for some fantastic coffee and delicious food. The three of us arrived around 10:30 and, since I’d already eaten breakfast, I opted for a snack.
Wildlfour’s raw cauliflower tabbloueh is the perfect wineover cure. I think it’s the plethora of fresh parsley, which is an amazing cleansing and detoxifying agent. I have plans to re-create this at home! Jenny ordered a blueberry scone and Cait ordered a mushroom-spinach scone (my personal favorite). I sat in a very lady-like manner while we drank, dined, and chatted.
Sup, chump? …aaand scene.
My Cousin’s Wedding
The remainder of the day was quite relaxing. I blogged, did some yoga, and then Matty came over. The two of us hopped in the car with my parents and headed to my cousin Colleen’s wedding. It was honestly one of the most charming weddings I’ve ever been to. Colleen and her now-husband, Paul, got married in my aunt and uncle’s (Colleen’s parents) backyard. It was simple, elegant, and full of Jesus’ love.
The four of us were greeted by a table with mini S. Pellegrino sparkling water bottles. Each one had a name tag and table number on it for all of the guests. How adorable are they?
The backyard trees were trimmed with white lights and the pool had silver trays floating on top of the water, adorned with white candles and lace trim.
Colleen and Paul are such a perfect example of true love. I’m so happy for them.
Side note: How gorgeous is her dress?! Colleen found it at a consignment shop in Texas, where she went to school. She and Paul walked in to Iron & Wine’s “Such Great Heights” and, after kissing each other as husband and wife, exited to Noah and the Whale’s “5 Years Time.” It was perfect! I bawled my eyes out and everyone was all smiles. I love weddings!
My cousin Maureen is amazing. She is the definition of preserverance and is always spreading so much love and light to everyone. I look up to her in so many ways, and she was such an amazing maid of honor. I love you, Moe!
After the sun set, we headed home. Matty and I capped off the night by watching “Friends with Benefits.” It was honestly the most amazing birthday week. I feel so blessed to have such incredible people in my life. Happy Sunday, everyone!
Stay lovely,
Heather
