j’adore la vie #2

September 27, 2012 by Heather

When is the last time that you stopped, dropped, and thanked yourself for making the decision to love life? Sometimes, we’re so busy tackling our mental to-do list and thinking about “what’s next.” But what about “what’s now?” Now is all we have; it is in the present that we connect with ourselves. That is what j’adore la vie is all about, friends. It is a weekly reminder for us to enjoy the present and celebrate the moments in life that make our hearts sing. We can choose to have those moments every day!

J’adore la vie is a movement encouraging everyone to love life, cherish the present, and savor the moments that make our hearts sing. It’s a mantra that represents letting go of every worry or fear in our lives in exchange for love! We’re going to connect through each other’s happiness! Together, let’s create j’adore la vie!

Breathe. Listen. Dream it. See it. Reach for it. Grab it. Love it. Live it. j’adore la vie.

Today’s #jadorelavie quote of the day comes from a dear friend of mine, who once said: “As you accept and treasure you, the world does too.”

Linz experiences a moment of total serenity after a long run.

“I had a j’adore la vie moment today after my run. Usually I run in the mornings, but today I saved it for the afternoon. I wasn’t really feeling the run, but knew I’d feel great afterwards. I was right. I took a few minutes to myself when I was done to stretch and just appreciate life as it was at the moment: beautiful. J’adore la vie.”

Lisa enjoyed a relaxing morning with her mom, which allowed her to stop and count her own blessings!

“Just spending the day with my lovely mom and representing #FitFluential while out and about and appreciating the moment, and allowing myself to fully enjoy the day.”

Meg loves her tea and looks forward to each comforting sip every day!

“Tea. I drink it all day, every day. I could also talk about it all day, every day. It provides me with comfort and soothes me.”

Hilary will honor and support her grandfather at a Parkinson’s disease walk this Saturday. So beautiful!

Chelsea soaked up the beauty of Fall with friends!

Nadja carved out some much-needed “me time” for a Fall-themed bubble bath!

Cait wound down from her busy day by  reading a new book surrounded by candlelight.

Brittany was reunited with her (freakin’ adorable) dog, Bentley, who never fails to make her smile! How could he not. Look at that FACE!

Meghan had an awesome Skype chat with her Mom. Love the smiles and laughter goin’ on!

Alyssa popped a couple of cold beers on the rooftop of her NYC apartment.

My j’adore la vie moment of the week was, without a doubt, the lasting high on life I got while apple picking with Matty. Perfect weather with my favorite person in the world surrounded my nature.

I hope you create your own j’adore la vie moments today. I love you all!

Stay lovely,
Heather

    Hello Heather,
I wanted to let you know that I recently found/discovered your Blog. Wonderful Blog.

As for today’s post…I, too, just love the amazing scenery I come across on my runs. It can be as simple as passing a park where kids are playing to gazing out at the river, to looking at the sunrise or sunset, to viewing the blossoming flowers or trees.

By-the-way, I really can relate A LOT with your story and experiences in many ways. I am really looking forward to taking more time to read through your recipes, posts about updates about your life and your fitness/exercise experiences and tips and tricks.

I recently began my own Blog…so I’m all new to this. Do you mind “sharing” with some of your readers my site to draw more people over there? I’d really appreciate it, if you could. Thank you! It’s found at:
