  1. Hold the vision; trust the process.

    April 29, 2013 by Heather

“There is a force in the universe, which, if we permit it, will flow through us and produce miraculous results.” – Gandhi

Gandhi said it perfectly. This is the power of manifesting (calling what we want into form). When you have a clear vision of what you want to do, there comes a point where you simply let go. Not out of weakness – but out of faith. There comes a point where you have so much faith that your vision will be carried out that you just let it take its own course. You trust that the right people will show up to help you. And you trust that you will receive all of the support you need from these living angels.

They show up in ways far better than anything you could have imagined for yourself.

    That’s the beauty of manifesting.

When you become clear about what you want to accomplish, align it with an act of service, and offer that vision up to an energy more powerful than yourself, the right people show up. The financial issues work themselves out. Simplicity becomes more-than enough. All of your grandiose plans seem lackluster. An energy greater than yourself guides you to create something far beyond what you intended in the first place.

    That’s the power of manifesting.

It allows you to let go of the form in which things come to you and focus on the Greater Good of what you’re creating. Set your intention. Visualize it. Believe in it. Feel it in your body. Hold onto that feeling and then let go of how it happens. Keep working hard, of course, but let go of how everything comes together. There is always an energy working on our behalf guiding us to our Highest Truth.

    Stay lovely,
    Heather

  2. Wanderlusting at Crompton Collective

    March 24, 2013 by Heather

Yesterday, I felt like a total wanderlust.

Matty, me, and our friend Annie trekked out to Crompton Collective, a vintage consignment shop located in Worcester, MA. Matty had worked on a video project with the owner of the store and told me it was a must-visit for us. So, this weekend, we decided to grab Annie and make a day of it.

    Oh. My. Lanta.

This store is vintage heaven. Everything is so special, unique, and carefully selected by the owners. It is any artist’s dream because inspiration is bursting at the seams everywhere you look. The second we walked in, I let out a gasp at the desk I saw before me.

Yes, this vintage Paris-themed desk has sheet music inside of the drawers! It literally took my breath away. Matty had seen the desk last week when he did a photo shoot with the owner and had grandiose plans of purchasing it for me. And so, he did. I am a very blessed lady.

I made out like a bandit with a couple of goodies myself. I’ve been wanting a special piece to hang my necklaces on and, when I came across this, knew it was the one.

This is a deconstructed shutter with sheet music placed over where the windows used to be and five hooks jutting outwards for you to hang your jewelry from. I love the addition of the block with the beautiful quote too! At first, I walked away from it but, as we meandered the store, I couldn’t get that piece out of my head, so I bought it anyways. It is now resting against my bedroom wall and adorned with my necklaces.

I also snuck away with this rust-colored suitcase, which I’m going to use for an upcoming project. How amazing?

There were hundreds of other trinkets, dresses, shoes, and pieces of furniture that we all gasped over. Here are a few that really stuck out for me!

We didn’t just “Ooh” and “ahh” over everything, though. We played too! Playing is crucial, especially on weekends.

And especially when you find a crazy hat that just-so-happens to match your mini dress.

On the weekends, I really give myself the gift of time. I soak up life, nix schedules, and be present. I show up…and show up with love. I started really practicing this a few weeks ago and decided to make my weekends a mini circus. I think it’s important to fuel yourself with creativity and inspiration all of the time, but especially on the weekends. Just be free and travel to places that inspire you. Become a weekend wanderlust. You’ll be blown away by the new ideas you come up with and the ease with which you tackle your week.

    Stay lovely,
    Heather

  3. Goddess Playlist

    March 10, 2013 by Heather

Happy Sunday, friends! Hope your week is off to a bangin’ start. For some reason, you guys couldn’t comment on the past two posts. Sorry about that! We should be in business now, so feel free to say hi below. :-)

Part of my morning Soul Space includes a rockin’ dance party with myself. It looks like this:

    You’re welcome.

Following up my movement and meditation with a short dance party is perfect for me because it speaks to both sides of me. I can be super peaceful, calm, meditative, and serious but I can also be a total goofball and really playful! Having this balance is key for me. I have a tendency to get intense about my work and sometimes take it too seriously. Having this solo daily dance party with myself reminds me to let go and have fun every day – no matter what. This is key to keeping my creative outlet and intuition in the clear! We can’t tap into our creativity if we’re taking things too seriously! Holla.

I call my collection of dance party songs my Goddess Playlist. It’s full of songs from my favorite female musicians that speak to my heart and make me want to break out and dance. There’s soul. There’s sass. There’s a bit of everything. But no matter what, there’s always Stevie Nicks.

I really should have been born in the 70′s.

When I Instagrammed the above picture yesterday, I got a few requests to see my Goddess Playlist. So, I’m here to share!

    GoddessPlaylist

As you can see, it’s a rainbow-of-genres playlist. I appreciate and love all types of music. Old school, new school, 90′s, indie, ambient, house. Everything. Why pigeon-hole yourself into a box of music, you know? The only thing that’s missing here is “California” and “Help Me” by Joni Mitchell.

See? I really do belong in the 70′s.

Speaking of goddesses, I ran into two yesterday during a mid-day date at Wildflour with an old friend.

    BE8R4KaCEAAKxhn

Ashley and Kim popped into Wildflour to pick up some goodies while I was hanging out with a friend. It was so nice to see them, since the last time we’d been together was at Garden Grille for the #plantPOWER meet-up.

So, what’s on your goddess playlist? If you don’t have one, what top three songs would be on your Goddess Playlist? Share!

    Stay lovely,
    Heather
